Cressida Cowell’s How To Train Your Dragon School Exhibition

Step into a world of dragons, Vikings, and adventure at DIG’s interactive exhibition inspired by How to Train Your Dragon School – the exciting spin-off series from bestselling author Cressida Cowell.

Follow Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, Toothless, Windwalker, and their friends as they join the Viking and Dragon Training School on the Isle of Berk – brought vividly to life at DIG!

Young dragon trainers are invited to enrol in Viking school and get hands-on with interactive activities, character encounters, and a dragon-themed DIG pit full of hidden treasure. Meet familiar faces like Hiccup, Gobber the Belch, Old Wrinkly, Camicazi – and of course, The Hopeful Puffin Mark 4!

Summer at York Castle Museum 2025

York Castle Museum will be celebrating the season in style, with events reflecting the incredible Summer Galas that took place in Victorian York. The famous Victorian Street, Kirkgate, will transform into a summer scene from nineteenth century York, bursting with beautiful floral displays inspired by the Victorian Language of Flowers.

The experience continues in the museum’s outdoor space, under a canopy of colourful bunting and further floral displays. With joyful and interactive performances, including immersive storytelling and impressive circus skills, alongside seasonal crafts and funfair games, there’s something to entertain both adult and family audiences this summer!

His Last Report

This summer, York’s residents take to the stage to share an unforgettable local story with national impact. With a large-scale cast and live choir, His Last Report plunges us into an astonishing past and bursts from its pages with searching questions for today.
