A car crashed into an empty shop in Tadcaster today.
It happened on Bridge Street. A Peugeot hatchback left the road and collided with what used to be the Yorkshire Cancer Research Shop.
The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene. One person has been taken to hospital.

The car and wreckage has now been removed from the scene and the road reopened.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received an emergency call just after midday on Wednesday (2 July) to report a collision on Bridge Street in Tadcaster.
“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to York Hospital.”
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews assisted police and ambulance at a single vehicle road traffic collision.
“Scene safety was carried out by fire and rescue personnel.”
The front of the building has been damaged and a cordon has been placed around it.
