Welcome to the YorkMix photo competition.

We all know that York is the world’s most picturesque city. Now we want to see your photos to prove it.[/column][column width=”40%” padding=”0″]

[/column][end_columns]Have you taken a picture of York that you particularly liked? Or is there a city scene you could capture in the next few weeks?

All you have to do is send it in and you could win our star prize of £250 – or one of many other prizes, including first class rail tickets.

This is a competition where anyone could take home a prize. A snap taken on your phone could be a winner if our judges think it captures something interesting about York.

In association with East Coast trains, York Digital Image, Fulford Framing and City Screen, our York photo competition will end with a public exhibition of all the winning images.

How to enter

There are several different categories, including prizes for the best pictures taken by someone under the age of 18.

Pictures can be funny or serious. They can feature people, landscapes, buildings, or pretty much anything – as long as they were taken within the city’s outer ring road.

Entering couldn’t be easier…

1. Ensure your photo was taken between September 7, 2012 and the closing date of January 6, 2014
2. Fill in our entry form and upload your picture.
3. Pay the £2 entry fee for up to three photos to cover our administration costs.
4. Click send!
