Brew York have confirmed an opening date for its brand new venue, Towers Taproom, at Carlton Towers.
We reported earlier this month that the York brewery was expanding into the Grade I listed estate, and now its been announced it will officially open its doors on Wednesday 30 July.
To celebrate the opening in true Yorkshire style, Brew York will be hosting a Yorkshire Day Party on Friday 1 August.

Join the team for a proper Yorkshire knees-up featuring:
- The full range of Brew York beers
- Street food from Yuzu Street Food
- A variety of cocktails from Ales & Cocktails
- Live music
- A warm welcome to all — including four-legged friends!
The Towers Taproom will be open from 11am, and the main event will kick off from 4pm.
“Yorkshire Day felt like the perfect moment to properly raise a glass and celebrate this new venue with the people who matter most — our community,” said Wayne Smith, co-director at Brew York.

“We’ve had a fantastic response already and can’t wait to throw open the doors, pour some pints, and bring this beautiful space back to life.”
Formerly the home of Little Black Dog Brewery, the venue will now operate under Brew York’s management, with plans for a full refurbishment in early 2026. Until then, guests can expect a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, regular events, and a showcase of Brew York’s award-winning beers in a stunning location.
