A unique clown show is bringing a blizzard to the Grand Opera House York later this year.
Slava’s Snow Show is a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ theatrical adventure that aims to catapult adults back to their childhood – in this spectacular show that culminates in a blizzard and leaving you knee-deep in snow.
The multi award-winning show is at the Grand Opera House York from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 November 2025.
Having started practicing the art of pantomime from a young age, Slava Polunin went on to create a show that would allow his ideas to come true, to find the realisation of his aspirations and hopes for boundless possibilities of clowning. This then led to Slava’s Snow Show, which has since travelled around the world to audiences of all ages.
Slava Polunin says: “In a sense, I have been working on this show forever, collecting bit by bit until it became a whole, to express myself fully.
“Many things in the show come from childhood memories, like the image of snow, for example, and many others are pure invention in a style of clowning that I had never seen before.”
Josh Brown, venue director, Grand Opera House, York says: “This will be like something you’ve never experienced before. It will be a spectacular event that everyone of all ages is going to love.”
Tickets for Slava’s Snow Show start from £15 and are available via the Grand Opera House website.
