Drivers in North Yorkshire are being warned to expect delays tomorrow (Saturday 16 August) due to the movement of an abnormal load from Selby to Darlington.
The police-escorted convoy will travel via the A63 from Selby, the A1(M) from Selby Fork to Scotch Corner, the A6055, and through Barton village before joining the A66 near Darlington.
At least two lanes of the A1(M) will be affected by the large, slow-moving load, and delays are likely from around 8 am.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
“Please bear this in mind when planning your travel and please follow directions given by the escorting officers.
“Thank you for your patience.”
