A new free family festival set in the Groves is coming this spring bank holiday weekend.
Organised by the Groves Association, The Groves Spring Festival aims to bring the community together with a weekend of ten fun free events for the whole family – from outdoor arts activities to a ceilidh, to a local band night, and a heritage walk exploring local history.
The Groves Spring Festival will take place on bank holiday weekend on Friday 2 to Monday 5 May 2025.
Tim Brooks, festival organiser said, “This is a first for the Groves and we are all very excited about the festival exploring new ways to bring local residents, community organisations and businesses together in an atmosphere of fun and mutual support.
“Everyone has been brilliant in working together and we are very grateful for the Guildhall ward funding and local donations that have all helped to make this possible.
“I’m sure all the 10 varied events will be successful and this will pave the way for developing further festivals in the future.”
Free tickets can be booked for the Band Night and the Ceilidh (where numbers are limited) to ensure entry – however tickets are not mandatory for any event.
