Police are renewing their appeal to locate 43-year-old Stephen Ashes, who remains wanted after being recalled to prison for breaching the conditions of his licence. He has a shaved head and a distinctive scar running down his right cheek.
He’s still thought to be in York, and due to the length of time he has remained outstanding, officers believe he is being assisted in evading the police.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Members of the public are reminded that is it criminal offence to harbour or assist someone who is wanted by the police, and anyone who is found doing so could face prosecution.”
