Police searching for a missing North Yorkshire man have found a body.
Officers looking for Douglas Watts, 73, recovered the body in Cloughton last night (Wednesday).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Formal identification is yet to take place, but we believe the body is of Douglas who went missing on Wednesday 23 July.

“We have updated the family of Douglas and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
Mr Watts was last seen leaving Scarborough Hospital at about 9.30am on Wednesday (23 July).
The spokesperson said: “Officers do not currently believe that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
“Thank you to everyone who contacted us with information to assist our searches.”
