Fires broke out next to a rail line and motorway in North Yorkshire last night (Sunday).
Selby crews went to reports of a fire on a railway embankment at Eggborough at 6.46pm.
They put out the blaze, measuring about 10m by 2m.
Then at 11.59pm, firefighters from Ripon, Thirsk and Bedale attended a fire to a car on the hard shoulder of the A1(M).
It was between junction 50 (Baldersby) and junction 51 (Leeming Bar Interchange).
Crews put out and dampened down the fire.
