A dog park has been crowned the best in the area, winning the title for the second year in a row.
York Dog Park in Knapton was named Dog Field Of The Year for North Yorkshire in the British Dog Fields of the Year Awards, beating more than 20 other parks through a public vote.
It took the same title 12 months ago.
Owners Laura and Rebecca set out be the best facility in the region, and they’re thrilled to have lived up to that promise.
The pair said: “We are once again so honoured to be named North Yorkshire’s dog park of the year.

“Our two dog parks provide a safe haven for dog owners to walk, socialise and train their beloved pets.”
Laura and Rebecca said they’re especially grateful for the win, recognising the number of “great” dog parks in the area.
“We are proud to have created a vibrant doggy community, we hold regular socialisation sessions for puppies and adult dogs where dogs and their owners can meet inside the park to have a great time.
“It also gives us great pleasure, year in year out, to see improvements in the puppies and dogs that come to our facility to train with our in-house dog trainer. We are so grateful for all our wonderful customers, the support and loyalty are truly appreciated.”
Following the success of their first park, Laura and Rebecca opened a second enclosed field at the same site in summer 2024, offering dog owners even more space to enjoy with their four-legged friends.
“Park number two means twice the space and twice the fun!”
