A Taskmaster winner will be performing two special shows in York this month.
The champion of the sixteenth series of the Channel 4 show, and winner of the 2022 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Sam Campbell, will be a headlining a one-night-only stand-up event at Spark York on Thursday 17 July.
The show will be hosted in partnership with the Univeristy of York’s ComedySoc – featuring a lineup of student comedians and alumni, who will share the bill with Campbell’s famously eccentric set.
A fan favourite from Taskmaster and known for his offbeat genius and quick-fire absurdity, Campbell’s show marks another exciting milestone in the Spark’s growing events calendar for 2025.
“We’re genuinely buzzing to have Sam Campbell at Spark,” said Luke Castle, marketing and events lead at Spark.
“His comedy is unlike anything else out there, and hosting him alongside the incredible talent from ComedySoc is exactly the kind of unique cultural moment we love to support. It’s going to be an unforgettable night.”
Tickets for Campbell’s show with ComedySoc at Spark are currently sold out, however keep an eye on the event page for any further released tickets.
The comedian is also performing an hour long work-in-progress show at the Micklegate Social on Friday 18 July, which is also currently sold out to the public.
