A meeting and exhibition for tattoo artists and enthusiasts as well as anyone who would like to see the world of tattooing up close. R U Taking the P?

The 5K fun run was established by York hairdresser Brian Hughes, a founder of Knavesmire Harriers, who was inspired to fundraise after a friend lost his life to prostate cancer. Now back for the first time since 2019, R U Taking the P? will help to raise awareness of prostate cancer, a disease which more than 50,000 people are diagnosed with in the UK every year. The event will also raise funds for York Against Cancer, a local charity helping local people affected by cancer.

Relay For Life York 2025

Relay For Life brings communities together to fundraise for Cancer Research UK and beat cancer. Teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’ve made.
The event is focused around a relay where team members take turns completing an activity, whether that be laps of a track, walks through a park or some other challenge to show that step by step, we’re beating cancer. Every Relay For Life includes games and music from local performers, and a Candle of Hope ceremony to give us a moment to reflect and honour everyone affected by cancer.

Alex Hamilton Band at Gilling East Village Hall

Alex Hamilton (formerly Lewis Hamilton) has been part of the British Blues/Rock scene for over ten years. Gaining notoriety on the back of being a talented young guitarist with skills beyond his age, he has since matured and developed a tasteful and subtle guitar technique that has been compared to Robben Ford and Matt Scofield. His debut album at the age of 18 won the Scottish New Music Award in 2011 and his subsequent albums have all been nominated for awards including the British Blues Awards, several years running.

Verdi: Requiem

When Giuseppe Verdi sets the drama of the Requiem Mass, what do you get?
