Pedestrian collision in North Yorkshire

A woman was taken to hospital following a collision involving a car in Knaresborough.

The incident happened on Bond End at Waterside, at around 10am on Tuesday (1 July), when a VW Polo car collided with the woman pedestrian.

The woman, who is in her 30s, sustained minor injuries and attended hospital where she was treated and discharged.

The woman driving the car stopped to help the injured pedestrian and offered to provide her details, which were declined at that time.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact them.

A spokesperson from the force said:

“We are also appealing for the driver to get in touch to assist our enquiries.
