Orange and mango juice floods North Yorkshire road after lorry burst

Firefighters were called into action when a huge and sticky spillage covered a North Yorkshire road.

A lorry flooded Leases Road, Leeming Bar with orange and mango concentrate juice at 9.55am today (Friday).

A Northallerton fire crew went to the scene.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This had occurred due to the straps bursting on the curtain side of the lorry and containers fell onto roadway. 

“Crews used a drain cover to stop the juice entering drainage system and the incident was left with highways who arranged a gully sucker to clean the roadway.”
