Police have concluded their investigation into reports of an attempted abduction at a York school.
Officers say there were “no suspicious circumstances” about the incident.
It happened outside Westfield Primary School last Tuesday (10 June).
Letters were sent to parents of Westfield and nearby schools saying the pupil, from Key Stage 1 (ages five to seven), was unharmed.
The incident was reported to police and parents were asked to be vigilant when supervising their children.
North Yorkshire Police has now concluded its investigation into what happened. It has not gone into details other to say “there are no suspicious circumstances”.
At the time, patrols were stepped up in the area to provide reassurance to parents and the wider community.
